Villas Katia and Eva, Maleme These two magnificent new villas are situated just three miles inland high above the coastal village of Maleme some 25km (15 miles) west of the harbour town of Chania. These houses are in an area of genuine Cretan culture, with no foreign-owned housing developments anywhere nearby. Both villas are architect-designed, traditional-style buildings constructed entirely of natural stone but with every modern facility to the best European standards.

The two houses are identical but completely separate with some 30 metres and a high, stone wall between them. The privacy areas of swimming pool and patios are at opposite sides of the houses to each other thereby guaranteeing peace and privacy. These two houses feature huge balconies and spectacular views over the bay of Chania and the goat sanctuary island of Theodoni.

Each villa has three big double bedrooms, with space to comfortably accommodate up to eight people. A large salon/sitting/dining room with open fire place, a luxury fitted kitchen, full air conditioning, and two full-size bathrooms complete the picture of these marvellous villas. Through the front door there is the sitting/dining room with the kitchen off to the right.

Through a stone arch takes us to the back of the house with a bathroom and the staircase to the right and two double bedrooms to the left. Both these bedrooms have a private balcony - one to the front and one to the rear. The master bedroom is on the first floor with an ensuite bathroom and two balconies - one of which is almost twice the size of the bedroom itself - and all with the same incredible views. This is a very peaceful and green countryside area with the finest views we have seen in fifteen years living and working in Crete - truly breathtaking!

The gardens are surrounded by olive groves and thousands of trees so there are no other buildings nearby - the Villas are alongside each other but do not overlook each other so there is complete privacy. Down a simple lane there is a Taverna within walking distance. The supermarkets, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants at the beach at Maleme are just a few minutes drive away.

Our rental pricing structure is very straightforward and based on the natural seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. We do not have complicated price bands that maximise prices around school holidays. There are no hidden costs or casually mentioned extras as apparent afterthoughts. The prices quoted here are for one, two, or three weeks - for longer periods please ask for details of the discount structure and a personal quotation, specific to your request. Occasionally we will have short period availability in between longer rental contracts and these can be available at a discount. Please ask for details.

Katia and Eva Prices per Week Including electricity, water and local authority charges, all linen, cleaning, and immediate food supplies for arrival. The prices below are for six-person occupation. Special low-season price reduction for two-person occupancy - please email for details. There are discounts available during spring, autumn, early and late summer for occupancy by less than six persons. Please email for a specific quotation.
